Qualifications:
Education in music and musical proficiency is required.
A degree related to music or education is preferred.
Music Therapist preferred.
Previous experience in working with young children (0-6) is required.
Practicum, internship, or volunteer sites are accepted as experience.
Proficiency in guitar or other portable instruments is required.
Must be comfortable and able to lead a group of young children in song.
Actively exhibit a passion for early education and an enthusiasm for learning.
Must have excellent organizational and initiative-taking skills.
Must be able to self-direct as well as work as a part of a team.
Must have great communication and listening skills.
Must be willing to give and receive feedback in a professional manner.
Must be adaptable, creative, and high energy.
Ability to travel to multiple sites, 1 to 2 schools each day.
Must have access to your own vehicle and be willing to travel to various Little Sprouts locations.
Must be available to go to schools at least 8:
00 AM-1:
00 PM three days a week with flexibility.
Full-time employment is available as well.
A Typical Day Looks Like:
The weekly full-time schedule would be, as an example, 8:
00-4:
00 Monday-Friday.
Part-time would be roughly 8:
00-1:
00 two days a week.
Travel to the personal roster of schools (Avon and East Granby), sometimes more than one per day, to lead music and movement classes to classrooms of infants-preschool based on Musical Sprouts curriculum and activities.
The average number of students per classroom is 6-20 and the daily average classroom visited is 6 to 12.
Work directly with and involve the classroom teacher in the music class so they participate and support during music class.
Prepare for leading groups including reviewing curriculum, making sure you have all necessary props, and materials, and are well versed in songs and processes for the upcoming week.
Work directly with school leaders on visits, classroom schedules, and feedback.
Responsible for personal inventory of instruments, provided by Little Sprouts.
Must sanitize and be accountable for them as much as possible.
Lead music and movement-related activities for a classroom of young children ages 0-5 for a minimum of 15 minutes for Infants and Toddlers and 30 minutes for Preschool and Kindergarten.
Team Duties:
Work with other music teachers to plan curriculum and align lessons and activities.
Prepare and lead occasional training for teachers on incorporating music into their classroom.
Attend professional development training provided by Little Sprouts and research/propose outside development opportunities for the team.
A few times a year, lead large group music events during family open-houses or other special events.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
