TRAINING TECHNICIAN (Title 5)

This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (Title 5), Position Description Number T5801300 and is part of the CT 103rd Maintenance Group, National Guard. This is an indefinite position that may convert to permanent without further competition. JOB
Summary:
The primary purpose of the position is to initiate, research, develop, manage, and control training programs. The major duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for development, management and control of the Maintenance Technical Training and Career Development. Identifies and resolves training deficiencies from document research, subject matter experts, interviews, and works observations. Performs curriculum development functions. Maintains liaison with activities conducting, scheduling, or supporting training requirements. Establishes and maintains a skills and knowledge testing program for the Aircraft Maintenance Division and Aircraft Generation Division (AGD). GENERAL
Experience:
Applicants currently employed in the GS-1702 Series must be qualified at the next higher Title 5 federal grade-level before being considered eligible for consideration to that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job equivalent experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. Must have validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Must have competencies gained through experiences, education, or training that demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise demonstrate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. Experience:
Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 12 months of specialized experience in the following:
Experience equivalent to GS-07. Experience that demonstrates the particular competencies - knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience demonstrating knowledge of Army or Air Force vision, values, organization, policy, and mission is mandatory. Experience demonstrating knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units for these systems. Experience in conducting and developing education and training programs. Experience in conducting, supervising, or developing education or training programs. Experience demonstrating knowledge in the Army or Air Force education and training policy requirements. Experience in managing programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries. Experience demonstrating knowledge of audio-visual presentations, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques. Experience demonstrating knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs in regard to their principles, policies, and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products. Experience demonstrating effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media applications, training reports, program and curriculum validation, and training implementation procedures. Experience in training program management; scheduling training events and facilities; conducting assistance visits and training meetings; work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; military personnel classification system and policies; communicative interpersonal skill applications; and distance learning concepts. Experience demonstrating effective communication. Experience in presenting professional courses and briefings; and proficient capabilities in writing reports and records. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. Experience in organizing and preparing instructional materials. Experience demonstrating the ability to understand and apply formal training objectives. Experience demonstrating the ability to develop course syllabi, training project outlines, and daily and weekly lesson plans. Experience in preparing assignments, laboratory exercises, demonstrations, training aids, and references and related material required to parallel and supplement course outline. Experience in the art of instructing personnel, such as determining the instructional methods for class size and subject matter. Experience instructing students by lectures, discussions, demonstrations, group activities, and laboratory work. Experience in using audiovisual aids such as, mockups, graphs, training films, and film strips. Experience in training aids such as, achievement and aptitude tests and rating scales. Experience in identifying and conducting individual learning difficulties diagnoses and recommends courses of remedial instruction. Experience demonstrating the ability to understand and apply basic classroom preparations for effective instruction using controlling factors such as, temperature, ventilation, lighting, cleanliness, and arrangement of desks and equipment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to develop, administer and evaluate education/training programs. Ability to secure facilities and coordinate training. Ability to gather data and compile plans and reports. Ability to coordinate and control testing programs. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
